With cold temperatures and frost covering the playground, keeping kids active and in shape during the winter months isn’t an easy task.

The Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum is challenging YOU and your family to get off the couch and get active at the NFL Play 60 Training Camp, sponsored by Dick’s Sporting Goods.

Parents and children of all ages will enjoy five floors of fun football-related activities, including:

A mini-NFL Combine on the History Center's fifth floor will test young visitors' speed in the 40-yard dash, gauge their broad jump, and practice their accuracy passing a football;
A special appearance by former Steelers offensive lineman and current radio personality Craig Wolfley (12:30 - 2 p.m.);
A touchdown dance contest where young visitors can show off their best moves;
Chances to win exciting prizes throughout the day, including items signed by Steelers players LaMarr Woodley, Maurkice Pouncey, and Emmanuel Sanders;
"Football 101" drills with pro football players from the Pittsburgh Power along with local WPIAL athletes;
Live cooking demonstrations by local chef Nicky D. Cooks, who will showcase some healthy recipes for your football-watching party, including mini Caprese Salad Bites, Grandma Rosie's Italian Bread Pizza, and Game Day Pizzelles ... YUM!; and
Docent tours of the Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum, special giveaways from Dick's Sporting Goods, and much more.
The History Center event is presented in conjunction with the Pittsburgh Steelers and NFL Play 60, the National Football League’s health and fitness campaign to encourage young fans to be active for at least 60 minutes a day.
