Register for the NAI National Workshop!

Welcome to Hampton Roads, the Tidewater region of Virginia, and the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay, for the 2012 NAI National Workshop. Enjoy a dose of southern hospitality blended with the bounty of the bay while you mingle with your fellow interpreters and create your own Chesapeake reflections. This region is rich with interpretive resources that share the inseparable story of both natural and cultural history. We hope your time here can spark new ideas for how you can interpret sensitive issues and meet the challenge of integrating the past into the present to inspire your audience.

We wish to invite you to Chesapeake Reflections, the 2012 NAI National Workshop in Hampton, Virginia, November 13–17. We are returning to a very historic part of the United States with many opportunities to learn more from each other
and the cultures and landscapes nearby. Colonial Williamsburg, Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean are only a few
miles away. The Workshop Committee is Angela Yau (Chair) ,Kathy Budnie (Program Chair), Phil Greenwalt (Publicity ) and Tania Gale (Volunteers). They have worked for two years to make this a very memorable and valuable experience for each of us. We expect interpreters, guides, naturalists, historians, educators, managers, planners, researchers, professors and commercial consultants from all over North America to bring their ideas, talents, and examples to share.
Almost four days of presentations, field sessions, and a keynote await you. Awards, scholarships, a trade show, and inspiration will fill out the agenda. Join us for Chesapeake Reflections and a great time to learn and share with colleagues. See you in Virginia.

For complete information about the Workshop, including keynotes, off-site sessions, and special events, download the registration packet (pdf).
