The Museum of Printing will have its Spring Open House, Saturday March 29, 2014, from 11 AM - 2 PM

Demonstrations include a 60 year old Linotype hot-metal typecaster with Ray Descahmps of Class Letterpress

Print your own 15x20 inch April month Calendar on a 40 year old Vandercook Proof Press with Printer/Designer Katey Corrigan

From March 29 the museum is open Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm, the special demonstrations run from 11 am to 2 pm. Admission: Adults $8, Students and Seniors $4, members are free.

DIRECTIONS
Take Route 495 towards Lawrence, Massachusetts. Get off at exit 43, turning south onto Massachusetts Avenue, toward North Andover. In about 1 mile you cross Route 133.

Travel another 4/10 mile and the Museum of Printing will on the left. A large open field, the Town Common, is on the right, and North Andover Center is only a couple of hundred yards ahead.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

There is a commuter train from Boston North Station to the new Lawrence, MA station. From there, a 10-minute cab ride is necessary to reach us at 800 Massachusetts Ave. in North Andover. The Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA) provides a variety of buses and trains throughout eastern Massachusetts. You can check their schedules at: http://mbta.com.

LAWRENCE AIRPORT
Lawrence Airport is a controlled airfield with IFR approaches. It is about four miles northeast of the museum at: N42″–43.03; W071″–07.40.
