Local History, Local Heroes
March 21-23, 2013 in Springfield, IL

Local history sites in Springfield will partner to provide MOMCC attendees an overview of many local heroes who called the Illinois state capitol home. The Lincoln Home National Historic Site will host the welcoming reception and offer tours of its facility on Thursday evening. This site is the only home that Lincoln owned, and the neighborhood surrounding it have been preserved and reconstructed to offer visitors a glimpse at 1850's town life.
