The New Hampshire Historical Society joins in Midnight Merriment, downtown Concord's annual holiday celebration. The Society's museum will be open until 10 p.m. and offer special sales throughout the museum store.

Acclaimed New Hampshire storyteller Rebecca Rule will be on hand at the museum from 7 to 9 p.m. to sign copies of her new book for children, The Iciest, Diciest, Scariest Sled Ride Ever! Rule infuses this story with her trademark wry sense of humor and authentic New England language, making it perfect for story times or one-on-one reading. Jennifer Thermes' vivid watercolors animate the winsome characters and joyous winter action. Don't miss this opportunity to get this new book and meet the author!

Hours: The museum will be open from 5 to 10 p.m. for Midnight Merriment, and author Rebecca Rule will be on hand to sign copies of her new book from 7 to 9 p.m.

Directions/Transportation/Parking

Take Interstate 93 to Exit 14. Northbound - turn left at the light at the end of the exit ramp; Southbound - turn right at the light at the end of the exit ramp. Stay in the right lane. At North Main Street turn right. Take the next right onto Storrs Street. Pass under a bridge and overhead parking garage; the museum parking lot entrance is on the left just as you begin to emerge from under the overhead parking garage.

At the parking lot entrance gate, take a ticket to open the lot gate. After parking, cross Storrs Street to the museum entrance. The museum is a four-story granite building. Parking is free for museum and library visitors. Bring your parking lot ticket to redeem for an exit token at the museum reception desk.
