Hear stories of inspiring SouthCoast women such as library professional Edith Guerrier, who organized library clubs for immigrant girls; Elizabeth Carter Brooks, the first female African American public school teacher in New Bedford; teacher, administrator, and innovator Martha Bailey Briggs; and Elizabeth Taber, who founded Tabor Academy. Meet at the Whaling Museum at 5 pm on AHA! New Bedford night.
