Spend the afternoon at the Museum as we hear from Norman DuPuis and Irene Watson speak on their book Stabbed in the Back: The Life of Civil War Private James Gillispie, a biographical novel based on the life of Irish immigrant, Civil War soldier, and great-great-grandfather of Mr. DuPuis, James Gillispie of Taunton. It is a tale of his call to serve his adopted country, the unusual injury he endured, and the battles he fought when he returned home to Taunton as a veteran.
