Introduction to New England Architecture

Historic New England's preservation experts explain regional architectural traditions and styles, influential New England architects, and changing building technologies. Historic New England properties and other iconic regional buildings are highlighted. Examine the architectural history of the Lyman Estate mansion up close. The course concludes with a tour of nearby Stonehurst, a nineteenth-century masterpiece designed by H.H. Richardson, given by Stonehurst Curator Ann Clifford. Box lunch is included.
