Introduction to Genealogy

Presented by Doris Bonnell.

As a young child of eight (8), Doris Bonnell enjoyed asking her paternal Grandfather Charles Otis Parker about the "good ole days!" What piqued Doris' interest was when her Grandfather Parker didn't know who his Mother's Mother was!  By the 1964, Doris had not only found this missing ancestor, but she had also gone back generations to England.

Doris has been an officer of the Massachusetts Society of Genealogists, Middlesex Chapter, a hired researcher, and, for 12 years, the teacher of the "Introduction to Genealogy" course at AVHS.

This session will provide an introduction to genealogy and include tips on how to break through some of the "brick walls" you may encounter in your own research.
