Intelligent Theatre Festival: Easter Comes to Spain on a Sunday

Over the weekend of April 12-14, the Intelligent Theatre Festival presents four play readings in various non-theater spaces throughout Portsmouth. Designed to inspire community dialogue on current issues, each reading is followed by a question-and-answer session with the performers. At Governor John Langdon House, see a reading of Easter Comes to Spain on a Sunday, written by contemporary Seacoast playwright Harrison Monane. The event is a partnership with the New Hampshire Theatre Project. First-floor tours of Langdon House are available.

Directions detail: Take I-95 to Exit 7 towards downtown (Market Street). Bear right after the railroad tracks. Turn right onto Deer Street. Turn left onto Maplewood Avenue. Turn left onto State Street. Turn right onto Pleasant Street. Langdon House is one block down on the left.

Parking: Available in the municipal parking lot across Pleasant Street from the museum.

Public transportation: C&J Trailways provides bus service from Boston and the North Shore to Portsmouth. The Coast Bus can be used to travel within the Seacoast.
