IndyTalks: Love Your Heart
Feb. 16

Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center
10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This year's Indy Talks theme, Indy’s Kids, hopes to bring attention to the things our community is doing to support and enrich youth, as well as explore the things we can and should be doing better. Whether you have children or not, celebrating the accomplishments of young people and acknowledging where adults can do more is an important act of civic participation that strengthens us all. And what better way to start than by taking care of our hearts and health!

IHS invites families to a free admission day at the History Center for Love your Heart. In celebration of American Heart Month, families are encouraged to explore the healthy choices they can make when deciding what to eat and when to exercise. Visit You Are There 1939: Healing Bodies, Changing Minds to learn the story of heart specialist and African-American community leader, Dr. Harvey Middleton. Participate in energizing and educational activities offered by IUPUI’s Schools of Physical Education and Tourism Management, receive healthy food choice tips by nutrition and wellness experts from the JCC, and sample healthy food from Kroger.
