Have you ever wondered what it was like to be a kid two hundred years ago? What clothes you would have worn? What chores children were expected to do around the house?  What you did at school before computers or even electricity? Do you know what a “rug beater” is or what you do with a “tea brick”? Come to Linden Place Mansion this December and take our “hands on” tour to find out!   Each room inside Linden Place has an exhibit where kids can see, handle and learn about artifacts of long ago and imagine what life would have been like in 1810 when Linden Place was built. See petticoats and breeches, washboards, a 19th century “television”, the stereoscope and more! This tour is fun and educational for the whole family and for kids both big and small.
“If you Lived Here Long Ago” is part of Linden Place’s Christmas at Linden Place Celebration.  Linden Place is open for self-guided tours of the decorated mansion from November 29th through December 30th Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10am until 5pm and Sundays from 12pm until 5pm.  Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for students and $5 for children 12 and under.  Free for children 6 and under.
