HOW WE MADE “THE MOVIES”
A Vacation Week Family Program

Come to the Jackson Homestead for a hands-on approach to trace how projected still images went to animated feature length films. You can check out an authentic Magic Lantern, use old-fashioned stereoscopes, and make your own zoetrope to take home! Learn about the art and history of movie technology in the 19th and 20th centuries. Finish your journey with a short film and popcorn!

There is wheelchair accessibility, please call 617.796.1450 for additional information.

At the Jackson Homestead and Museum, 527 Washington Street.
