Holiday Lantern Tours at Hale Farm & Village

This Hale holiday favorite is a 90-minute evening tour transporting you to the sights, sounds and flavors of the holiday season on Christmas Eve, 1863, the third year of the American Civil War. With lantern in hand, stroll through our Western Reserve Village and discover the seasonal traditions and lore from local residents. Afterward, enjoy Victorian-era holiday treats in the Jonathan Hale House, delightfully decorated for the season. Tours depart every 20 minutes beginning at 6:00 pm. Dress appropriately for this indoor/outdoor activity. Tour schedule is subject to change without prior notice.

From the East Side of Cleveland: South on I-271 to exit 12 (route 303); east (or right) on 303 towards Peninsula to Riverview Road; right on Riverview Road to Ira Road; right on Ira Road to Oak Hill Road; right into Hale.

From the West Side of Cleveland: South on I-71 to exit 226 (route 303); east (left) on route 303 to Brecksville Road (old route 21); right on Brecksville Road to Ira Road; left on Ira Road to Oak Hill Road; left into Hale.

From the North: South on I-77 to Richfield exit 143 (Wheatley Road); right on Wheatley Road to Brecksville Road (old route 21); left on Brecksville Road to Ira Road; left on Ira Road to Oak Hill Road; left into Hale.

From the South via I-77: Take exit 138 Ghent Road; left on Ghent Road which becomes Cleveland-Massillon Road; continue north to Ira Road; right on Ira Road to Oak Hill Road; left to Hale.

From the South via I-71: Take exit 218, route 18; right (or east) on route 18; continue approximately 5 miles to Cleveland-Massillon Road; left on Cleveland-Massillon Road to Ira Road; right on Ira Road to Oak Hill Road; right into Hale.

Via Ohio Turnipike (I-80) from the East: Take exit 180, then Route 8 South to Route 303; right (west) to Peninsula and Riverview Road; left on Riverview Road to Ira Road; right on Ira Road to Oak Hill Road; right into Hale.

Via Ohio Turnpike (I-80) from the West: Take exit 173, then south on Brecksville Road (old Route 21) to Ira Road; left on Ira Road; continue three miles to Oak Hill Road and Hale.
