Dan Raymond House, 159 Main St, Sheffield, MA
The Dan Raymond House was built of homemade brick in 1774 by the "notorious" character, Dan Raymond. This home, considered extravagant in the time it was built, would now be considered an unpretentious brick colonial. Except for an added ell, the house is nearly the same as it was during the Revolution, when it was one of Sheffield's finest homes.
