Holiday Celebration at the Folsom Tavern

The Tavern was a traditional place of gathering for the community, join us as we open the Tavern for the first of many community events to come! See what it was like to celebrate the holiday season back in Revolutionary War times. Sample Colonial drinks, try your hand at Colonial crafts, and listen to our fiddler and carolers. Directions/Transportation/Parking

From points east:
From I-95N and I-95S, take exit 2 to Route 101 west. Take exit 10, “Exeter/Newfields, Rte. 85.” Left at top of exit ramp onto Newfields Rd. and follow to end. Turn left onto Water Street. American Independence Museum is on the right.

From points west:
Take exit 9, “Exeter/Rte. 27.” Right at top of exit ramp onto Rte. 27/Epping Rd. Follow into downtown Exeter. Epping Rd. becomes Water St. American Independence Museum is on right after Phillips Exeter Academy campus.

Parking around the museum is limited. Free parking is available in the museum’s visitor lot, which is located on the corner of Spring and Water streets. Two-hour parking is also available along Water Street. Parking is available ONLY on Saturdays after noon in the two lots nearest the museum entrance; these belong to People’s United Bank.
