"Joyeux Noel" is a 2005 film which captures a rare moment of grace during World War I. On Christmas Eve, 1914, as German, French and Scottish regiments face each other from their respective trenches, a musical call-and-response turned into an impromptu cease-fire. Soldiers traded chocolates and champagne, played soccer and compared pictures of their loved ones. But when Christmas ended, the war returned. This film is rated PG-13. The film will be shown in the Visitor Center theater. A discussion will follow.
