An historic opportunity to meet America's first professional female soldier!

This event is sponsored by the Dracut Council on Aging, 951 Mammoth Street, Dracut MA. Registration required. Please call 978-957-2611.

In this Immersive Living History Experience, "A Revolution of Her Own!" History At Play, LLC introduces you to the nation's first professional female soldier. Deborah Samson [also Sampson], the first woman to successfully enlist, to professionally fight, and to be honorably discharged from the American Military, captivates audiences in an Immersive Living History Experience chronicling her life.

An indentured servant by age five, Deborah grew up in a man's world, where women were naught but second-class citizens. Without the ability to vote nor to own/inherit property, Deborah knew her options were limited; breaking the rules may be necessary to accomplish a greater goal in life.
Experience Deborah's arduous upbringing, years of active combat, and success as the first female professional soldier, through interactive storytelling and authentic colonial attire. Deborah's passion will take you back in time!

Running Time: Approx. 60 minutes followed by Q&A session. Rated PG (Program includes simulated violence. Viewer discretion advised). Family Friendly and appropriate for all ages. "A Revolution of Her Own!" has been performed 2,000 times for audiences worldwide, including Off-Broadway, in 2015.
