Experience the legendary sites of Boston's Freedom Trail with Deborah Sampson; the first woman to serve as a professional soldier in the American military - disguised in male attire, using the alias "Robert Shurtliff." Deborah honorably served in the Continental Army for approximately 18 months and was promoted to the rank of Corporal before receiving an Honorable Discharge approved by General Henry Knox.
History At Play™, LLC's Artistic Director Judith Kalaora escorts guests on a tour from the Boston Common (Visitor Information Center, 139 Tremont Street, Boston, MA) to Boston's historic Faneuil Hall.

In full Continental soldiers' kit (uniform), "Deborah" guides visitors through the events that lead to the birth of an American nation. Learn "her-story," as you rediscover American History through the eyes of a first-hand participant in the cause for American Independence!
Tours depart from the Visitor Information Center , located at 139 Tremont Street, Boston, MA. This walking tour begins at 11:30 AM, is entirely outdoors, and runs approximately 1 hour, 45 minutes.
Tickets are available onsite and in advance at http://www.tourofthefreedomtrail.com.
