Revel in the crisp breezes and falling leaves of autumn and take part in a day of historic fun at Pottsgrove Manor’s Harvest Happenings on Saturday, October 20th, from 11:00am to 3:00pm.

Explore the exciting harvest activities of autumn that the entire family can enjoy. Crank the wheel of the cider press to turn an apple into a special seasonal drink. Help stir the apple butter as it cooks into a delicious treat over the open fire. Discover how the flax harvest is turned into linen and how a great wheel helps spinners transform wool into yarn. Then learn how to knit that spun yarn into something warm for the coming winter. Warm up by the kitchen hearth and see what special 18th century treats are being made from the seasonal abundance. You can also have your silhouette or miniature portrait done by artist Ruth Williams. Living History interpreters bring the past to life and invite you to join in with plenty of hands-on-history fun, perfect for every age. Plus kids can create their own free silhouette craft, a perfect take-home souvenir. Colonial games and tours of the Potts family home top off this family friendly autumn event.

Discover a new treasure at our Museum Shop, full of historic candies, books, toys and games, and beautiful reproduction pieces. Rain or shine and this program welcomes all ages. This event is a suggested $2.00 donation per person.
