Join IHS Membership and Local History Services staff for our Fourth Annual Grave Matters Cemetery tour. This year's exciting day-trip will take us through three outstanding cemeteries in Richmond.

Our trip will begin with a tour of rural-inspired Earlham Cemetery, established in 1861. From there we will head to the Wayne County Historical Society where guests will have the opportunity to tour the museum.

Following lunch, we will visit St. Andrew's Cemetery, started in 1848 with excellent examples of German Catholic motifs and symbolism and then on to the 1850 Lutherania Cemetery where you'll be able to compare the difference between the German Catholic cemetery and the German Lutherans.

Indiana cemetery expert Jeannie Regan-Dinius of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources will again accompany the group and make presentations throughout the day along with other cemetery experts. Lunch, snacks and transportation via coach will be provided.
