“Climbing Your Family Tree: Genealogy of a Cemetery: Field Burying Ground”
Meet at Field Burying Ground, between 34 and 48 Field Street, at 9:45 a.m.
Parking is available along Field and Bay Street.
Continuing our genealogy workshops series, we will be visiting the Field Burying Ground to learn the process of documenting a cemetery. Participants will learn to measure, describe, photograph, and transcribe the stones and will get to put their new skills to the test documenting the cemetery and adding to the historical record of this little-known burial ground in Taunton. A camera is not necessary, but if you have one, your work will be added to the OCHS collection for the use of future researchers. Space is limited so please R.S.V.P. to the main office at 508.822.1622 to reserve your spot.
