Newport Restoration Foundation
Whether you’re growing lettuce or lupines, it’s important to know who to turn to for advice – the URI Master Gardeners are here to help! On the first Sunday of the month at 11:00 am, these garden pros will speak on selected topics ranging from pest management to heritage plants. On September 2 enjoy two lectures: “Growing and Managing Cover Crops in your Garden” given by Susan Estabrook AND “An Understanding of Elemental Soil Nutrients for the Gardener” given by Roger Laberge. The Guard House and 1812 Windmill will also be open and staffed for public enjoyment. Visit newportrestoration.org/events for more info.
