    Improve listing Presented by

Spring is just around the corner and March is the perfect time to begin planning your garden for the spring, get inspiration and learn new techniques from experts. Every month, Linden Place Mansion, a historic 200-year-old mansion and gardens in Bristol, is hosting talks and discussions lead by experienced gardeners about best practices, new techniques and more.

The talks take place at 1 pm on the second Wednesday of every month at Linden Place. The purpose is to share proven, science-based gardening practices and to reach gardeners of all ages and abilities for learning new techniques, avoid bad practices, and share your own expertise. All presentations during the year are lead by trained and/or professional gardeners and will encourage group discussions and questions.

On Wednesday, March 11th at 1 pm, John Whitney, from Redwood Nursery, will give a demonstration on 'Planting the new Season' in the back gardens of Linden Place. John will have a few different items to plant and will demonstrate how to choose the best location, how to prepare an area for planting, dig the proper size hole, and apply compost plus fertilizers for each one. Meet in back gardens of Linden Place Mansion or in the South Wing Conference Room in the case of rain. Dress for the weather and bring your questions!
