Join the Park Interpreter for a FREE program. Hear how wealthy attorney Bradley Webster Palmer donated his 721-acre estate, now Bradley Palmer State Park, to the Commonwealth. Experience his extravagant early 1900s world as you take an outdoor tour of the stable, a once celebrated cathedral garden, and other surviving buildings. The walk is moderately paced for 3/4 mile. There is a wooded uphill slope which is difficult for those with limited mobility. For ages 8 and up, especially adults.

Inclement weather cancels the program. Reasonable accommodations upon advanced request.

Directions/Transportation/Parking

Meet at the Main Parking Lot Bulletin Board, 40 Asbury St., Topsfield, MA 01983. Asbury Street is east of Route 1 on the Topsfield-Ipswich Road. Turn south from the Topsfield-Ipswich Road onto Asbury Street. Drive to the park entrance on the east side of the street. Enter the park and drive to the first four-way intersection. Turn right and drive to the parking lot.

There is a daily parking fee ($5.00 for MA passenger vehicles, $10.00 for out-of-state passenger vehicles. Buy passes at the parking lot kiosk with Visa or Mastercard. Annual and Senior (62 or older) are also available. Parking is free for any vehicle with handicapped, disabled veteran, or purple heart placards or license plates.
