Is your flintlock reliable?  Would you like it to work better?   Would you know how to replace the sear spring?  What’s the best way to re-harden a hammer?

Jim Casco of Whitcomb’s Rangers, proprietor of Casco Historical Arms Services of Vermont, conducts hands-on workshops that go beyond regular cleaning and maintenance.  He teaches Rev War re-enactors how to safely disassemble and reassemble their firelocks and diagnose problems before they become failures.  He has conducted successful workshops all over New England, including several for The Hive at Minuteman National Park.  He will be conducting one in Sudbury, Mass. on Saturday, November 10 at 9 am at the Sudbury Grange Hall, 326 Concord Road, next to the Town Hall.
