Tuesdays in the Parlor at Loring Greenough House presents “Five Themes of the African American Legacy in Massachusetts” a talk by Rosalyn Elder
February 26, 2019 at 7pm
Too often, African Americans have been depicted as victims rather than agents of change in the story of the nation’s past, that is, if they are included at all. Ms. Elder will discuss the presence of African Americans in the history of Massachusetts and their contributions to every aspect of the legacy of this state including its political, literary, artistic, and scientific arenas.
The author of Exploring the Legacy: People and Places of Significance, Ms. Elder is an entrepreneur and a registered architect with a passion for the arts, architecture and cities, and history. Her book may be purchased at this event.
Light refreshments will be served.
