*Update: 1/3/2022: As we see an increase in Covid-19 cases across our state and beyond, the Connecticut Historical Society will temporarily close to the public from Tuesday, January 4 through Saturday, January 15. We currently anticipate reopening the museum to the public on Tuesday, January 18. All on-site public programs and tours are canceled during this time.*

Visit the CHS for a special tour of Making Connecticut followed by a related craft! Through close-looking and hands-on activities, kids will explore how clothing was made and how fashion has changed throughout history. Families will have the opportunity to card wool, “work” in a textile factory, and more!

This program is included with museum admission and great for children ages 5 and up. Each tour is limited to 20 people. Pre-registration is encouraged; any available spaces will be offered to walk ins. To reserve your tickets, click here. Families are encouraged to stay and continue to explore the exhibits after the tour and craft have ended.
