Establishing Emergency Response Networks for Cultural Collections

    Improve listing Presented by

Disasters big and small can affect buildings and the collections they hold at any time. In the crucial first hours, you shouldn’t have to worry about whom to call for assistance. This class examines how to set up a local emergency response network that will help protect your cultural institution when an emergency strikes and establish mutual assistance and reliance amongst the other institutions in your area.

This two-hour session will also look at established networks and consider the best way to get a network started in your area. Local, state, and regional opportunities will be discussed as well as topics such as: mutual aid agreements, caches of supplies, training, response teams, and working with first responders.
