Oregon City - End of the Oregon Trail*

Today we visit the End of the Oregon Trial - Oregon City! There is plenty of geologic, Native American and American history to explore in the first American City West of the Rocky Mtns. We will visit the McLoughlin House Historic Site, and two other local museums. The two homes we visit this morning represent two very different historical eras and architectural styles. With local, national, and British history all tied up within a few blocks this promises to be a busy, informative day!

After we visit these three museum we will stop to view the Willamette Falls (bring your camera!) The falls has its own history which we will discover today.

Whew, Time for a break! We’ll have lunch at a local restaurant and then. . . . off to one more museum. This museum is another local home very much tied to the history of our state. After our tour of the museum we will visit the historical Mtn. View Cemetery for a guided tour with local cemetery historian Frank William.

Lunch included in the cost of the tour. *This tour is not for the faint of legs or feet! There is a lot walking/standing at the museums, but there are benches/chairs available in each place.

This is as a small group tour of 15-25 (as few as 10 with your own coach).  Tour dates are Thurs - Sunday.  Tours are on an as requested basis, subject to availability of coaches.
