A free interactive mystery game played in Downtown Boston. Three sessions beginning at the Old State House 1pm, 2pm, 3pm. Followed by The Bostonian Society's annual commemoration and reenactment of the Stamp Act protest at 4pm.

  • Starting just before 1:00pm, the plaza beside the Old State House will come to life with a recreation of an 18th-century marketplace. Talk to the living historians and learn about the many industries that made Boston tick.
  • At 1:00pm, 2:00pm, or 3:00pm, play Echoes of the Past, an interactive game that lets you meet characters from the past and take part in one of the most improvident protests in American History.
  • Finally, at 4:00pm, gather at the corner of Washington and Winter Streets to take part in the raucous protest march down Washington Street to the Old State House.

The Bostonian Society is bringing Echoes of the Past to the public free of charge to further the Society’s mission. By using the approachable and engaging platforms of gaming, theatre, and interactive storytelling, the Society hopes this game will show new audiences that history is fun.
