The Christmas Tour of Homes in Perry raises money to help provide Christmas decorations for the town square. The Cherokee Strip Museum is just one of the stops on the tour. Visitors will enjoy the refreshments and view the museum decoated with scherenschnitte, greenery, popcorn, and apples. Scherenschnitte, which means "scissor cuts" in German, is the art of paper cutting design. The art work often has symmetry within the design.

Directions/Transportation/Parking

From I-35: Take exit 186 (Fir St. / U.S. 64) toward Perry. Proceed appx. 1/4 mile east. Cherokee Strip Museum is located on the left (North) side of the highway.

From Tulsa: Take the Morrison exit (U.S. 64) off of the Cimarron Turnpike. Proceed appx. 15 miles to Perry. Continue west on Fir Ave / U.S. 64 through 3 stop lights toward I-35. You will reach the Cherokee Strip Museum about 1/4 mile before I-35 on the right (North) side of the highway.
