“Brown & Sharpe: The Partnership that Changed the World”
Presented by Ged Carbone

If you ate a Shredded Wheat biscuit or drove a car in the 20th century, you have the inventions of Brown & Sharpe Mfg. Co. to thank for it: they produced the first machine to manufacture Shredded Wheat and the universal grinding machine responsible for the seemingly effortless spin of a car’s wheels. Joseph Brown & Lucian Sharpe — whose inventions inspired Thomas Edison and Alexander Graham Bell– revolutionized technology through a synergistic partnership that changed the world.
