Brown Bag Lecture: "The Unusual Fossils of Hagerman Fossil Beds"

December 11, Noon-1 p.m.

"The Unusual Fossils of Hagerman Fossil Beds" by Annette Rouseau helps you step back 4 million years into Hagerman’s past and learn about the life of the Pliocene species.  With water and food in abundance, life was still a struggle and species needed their own special abilities to survive the day.  Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument has discovered the fossils of over two hundred species of plants and animals.

Annette Rousseau is the Education Specialist for the National Park Service and works for the Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument and Minidoka National Historic Site.  She worked as a Park Ranger at Grand Canyon National park in Arizona.  Prior to working for NPS, Annette was an elementary school teacher in Connecticut. She utilizes her talkens and skills working in the Visitor Center, developing and presenting outreach programs, and writing grant proposals.
