Dr. Paul M. Zoll (1911-1999) was a Jewish American physician and medical researcher whose innovations and ideas changed the field of cardiac care. His medical contributions include the development of closed-chest pacemakers and defibrillators, implantable pacemakers and heart monitors. The book Paul Zoll MD shows the human dimensions of Zoll, including his childhood, education, military service, family relationships, recreational interests, and social associations throughout his life.
Join author Dr. Stafford I. Cohen—a medical resident under Zoll and, later, a colleague at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston—for a special lecture and exhibit on the life and medical contributions of Dr. Zoll. Book sales and signing to follow; this lecture will accompany an exhibit of cardiac care devices and other items of Zoll memorabilia. Held in conjunction with the American Jewish Historical Society - New England Archives. Register today!
