BOLTON WELCOMES THE HOLIDAYS: SUNDAY 1 DECEMBER
Celebrate the arrival of the holiday season with three special events in Bolton on Sunday, 1` December, the conclusion of the town's 275th Anniversary Year.
Noon-5 p.m.: Eleventh Annual Holiday Wreath Sale, Bolton Historical Society, Sawyer House Barn, 676 Main Street.
An array of artists, designers, and organizations have hand-crafted beautiful wreaths for sale to the highest bidders! Find the perfect wreath for your home and support the work of the Historical Society. Bolton's Brownies will sing carols at 2:30 p.m.
1-4 p.m.: Historic Home Holiday Tour, beginning at the Sawyer House, 676 Main Street
Fourteen of the town's most historic homes, some never before open to the public, welcome you today for this free, self-guided tour. Don't miss this extraordinary opportunity to explore our unique architectural heritage. Brochures and maps available at the Sawyer House.
5 p.m.: Gala Tree-Lighting and Visit from Santa, the Old Town Common, Outside the First Parish, 673 Main Street.
Festive holiday music from a brass quartet and vocal soloist set the scene as the huge "Freedom Tree" on the old town common are illumined for the holidays. After the lights go on, Santa arrives by fire truck to visit with the children in Davis Hall, where cookies, donuts, cider, and hot chocolate will be available.
