Bring a sense of heritage to your kitchen by learning the skill of hearth cooking with expert Niel de Marino at Pottsgrove Manor’s Autumn Cooking Workshop, Saturday, November 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Explore the tastes and skills of 18th-century kitchens by preparing a meal in Pottsgrove Manor’s reproduction kitchen. Expert hearth cook Niel de Marino will lead participants through all the steps of preparing historic dishes at this hands-on workshop. Embrace the heat of the hearth and find recipes that still delight modern diners.

Space is limited. Participants are asked to bring a bagged lunch. Registration information is here www.montcopa.org/PottsgroveManor. Registration forms must be completed and returned to Pottsgrove Manor by Saturday, November 9. The event is appropriate for age 14 and up. The materials fee for the workshop is $75 per person, which includes all food and materials.

Participants can also visit our museum shop to browse period reproduction pieces, books—including historic cookbooks—toys and games, hand-made soaps, and more! The museum will also be open for regular tours.
