Art and Craft: Painted Silk

If seeing beautiful things at a museum inspires you to roll up your sleeves and get creative, you will appreciate our new program offering which connects careful object observation with artistic project making. First, enjoy looking at an object in our collection. Then, sit down with museum educators to explore artistic material s and techniques as you make a project that expresses your own inspired take on the past. The first workshop will have you look at silk objects in our collection, learn about how silk is made and practice painting on silk.
