The Old Ordinary is a remarkable example of first period American architectural and cultural history. This special tour will allow visitors a “backstage” view of early architectural elements visible in the house, some deliberately exposed as part of architectural studies, so they can explore how the house evolved since its initial construction in 1686. The tour will include access to a vintage tool collection. The tour requires climbing three flights of steps, from attic to basement.

This special tour will only be offered four times, on Friday and Saturday, August 5 and 6, at 1:00 and 2:30. Tours are limited to 10 participants. Tour times have been extended to 90 minutes to provide ample time for study. Installation of our new HVAC system will be completed by the time of these events, making the upper floors much more comfortable!
