Paul Conrad, Ph.D., will focus on the capture, enslavement and displacement of Apache groups from early Spanish colonization through U.S. colonial settlement. Dr. Conrad, an assistant history professor at Colorado State University-Pueblo, is an historian of North American borderlands and is currently completing the book, “Captive Fates: Displaced Apache Indians in Colonial North America and the Caribbean.”
