A Virginia Historical Society Educational Travel Program - The Barnes and Beyond: Art and History in Philadelphia
A Virginia Historical Society Educational Travel Program
"The Barnes and Beyond: Art and History in Philadelphia" includes tours of the Barnes Foundation, Independence Hall, the National Constitution Center, Valley Forge National Historical Park, and private dinners at the Philadelphia Cricket Club and the Racquet Club of Philadelphia.
This travel program involves physical demands, such as extended periods of walking and standing, and climbing stairs in/around historic sites. We suggest comfortable attire (rain gear if appropriate) and walking shoes for touring sites in Philadelphia. The reception and dinner call for business attire for women and coat and tie for men.
In addition to the program fee, you are responsible for your hotel accommodations.
The historic Hyatt at the Bellevue is setting aside a block of rooms specifically for the guests of this travel program. Room cost for the evening is $179 plus tax each evening. To make your reservation, please visit their website. You also can make your reservation by calling (888) 421-1442 and identifying yourself as part of the Virginia Historical Society group. Reservations must be made by May 3, 2013.
