Lexington Historical Society
Join us for a fascinating talk by Joseph M. Adelman. Adelman, author of Revolutionary Networks: The Business and Politics of Printing the News, 1763–1789, will discuss how "printed material, including newspapers, pamphlets, almanacs, and broadsides, played a crucial role as a forum for public debate" (John Hopkins Press).
Talk will take place in our exhibit gallery on the second floor of Buckman Tavern. The current exhibit, #Alarmed!: 18th Century Social Media, will be closed in December 2019, so this is one of your last chances to see this popular exhibit. More info on #Alarmed! here.
