Who doesn’t love a ghost story on Halloween?! Park Ranger Catie Murphy shares some of the ghostly tales of the 19th century, and the Longfellow family’s connection to them. Learn how these stories fit into the larger culture of Victorian America. 

Ranger Murphy has worked at Longfellow House-Washington’s Headquarters National Historic Site for three seasons. She maintains a special research interest in historical supernatural beliefs. She received her B.A. in Public History from Salem State University.
