3rd Annual Brick Store Museum Photography Contest

Edith Barry, the Museum's founder, was an artist, photographer, and world traveler. Join in Edith Barry's legacy of photography by defining culture today through YOUR images.

This contest is open to amateur photographers of all ages. Submissions of up to four images per person will be accepted from July 16 - September 6, 2013. Every submitted photograph will appear on the contest website, and winners will be chosen by talented judges from the Southern Maine art community.

We invite you to submit up to three original photos to our contest. As is tradition, there are three categories from which you can choose: "Kennebunk," "Nature," and "Travel." If you are under 16, we invite you to submit your photos in the Children's competition.

Edith Barry, the Museum's founder, was born in 1884. Until her death in 1969, she traveled the world taking photographs of new cultures, old traditions, amazing sights, and familiar scenes. Now, it's your turn to capture culture.

In 100 years, what photographs will be displayed at the Brick Store Museum? What defines our culture today? What about our culture do you think needs to be captured for the future? These are great questions to ask in your quest for photographs.

The contest will be open to submissions from July 16 through September 16, 2013. Please click on the "rules" link below to find out how to submit your photos. Winners will be announced in each category - as well as a Visitors' Choice - at the end of September. The Grand Prize winner will receive a Family membership to the Museum!

All submissions will also be placed on the Museum's Facebook page. Encourage your friends and family to visit us on the web to vote for their favorite photos!

Entry is free to this contest. Please consider making a donation with your photos. The Museum's programs are funded by supporters and participants like you!

Now it's your turn - go out and capture culture!
