1940s World War II Weekend

Saturday and Sunday, July 27 and 28, 2013

at Eckley Miners' Village Museum,

Eckley, Pennsylvania


Travel back in time to the 1940's World War II era! Witness to WWII Allied and Axis Power soldier encampments and demonstrations, entertainment of the Big Band era, 1940s cars, and the life of people on the home front and warfront during these years. Join us in honoring the sacrifices made by all the men and women who served our country during the Second World War.
There will be food, music, skirmishes, and so much more!


1940s Swing Dance

Eckley's 2nd Annual 1940's Dance will be held the evening of Saturday, July 27th, 2013 in the Freeland Public Park Pavilion** from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

This is a special thank you to the veterans and service of the men and women in America's Armed Forces both past and present- World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Iraq, and Afghanistan- during a special ceremony held during this event.
