Two hundred years ago, the War of 1812 came brutally to Virginia's doorstep. British troops captured Washington, D.C., and destroyed the fledging capital's public bulidings. Alexandria also felt the wrath of the enemy in a war that had taken a harsh turn. Join us as we explore these events and their impact on Virginia.
