The beautiful Liendo Plantation, built in 1853, was on of Texas' first cotton plantation.  It has a vast and colorful history as the "social center" of Texas in its early years and, later, as home of the famed artist, Elisabet Ney.  This Greek Revival style home was a popular stopping place for many, many fascinating characters from our Texas history.  Today, the home is a state and nationally registered landmark, as well as a working cattle ranch.  Don't miss out on this historic gem!
