Spotlight Series: Precious Textiles

Do you have a wedding dress, christening gown, or other important family textile that you would like to preserve? Preservation specialist Renee Walker-Tuttle will be on hand to lead an interactive workshop on textile preservation and work one-on-one to help you preserve your important family treasures. Amazing textiles from the OCHS collection will be on view for this workshop only, giving class participants the chance to see rare 18th, 19th, and 20th century textiles released from storage. The cost of this class is $40 for OCHS members, $50 for non-members, which covers the class and materials. You will leave with an archival-safe means of storage and the knowledge to care for other objects in your own personal collection. Please call 508.822.1622 to register. Registration is needed one week prior to the class, so we can order the appropriate amount of archival materials.
