Come and hear the author discuss his newest work, Pushing for Cushing In War and Peace. A History of Cushing Hospital: 1943-1991, Framingham, Massachusetts. By Frederic A. Wallace. Fred tackles a fascinating piece of twentieth century town history, that of the Cushing Hospital, a complex built here during World War II for the U.S. Army. Relying heavily on in-person interviews, he reconstructs its wartime history and how, in peacetime, it became a leader in the field of geriatric medicine. Book signing to follow.
