Tica de Moor, Interior Designer and quilt artist, will present her talk on September 23 at 7pm at the Peter Rice Homestead in Marlborough

This is a 45 - 60 min presentation that looks at the history of quilting and the role of women as it pertains to the Civil War.
The focus is on the Wayside Quilters Guild raffle quilt, which commemorates the 150th anniversary of the War.

The quilt is a contemporary take on a Civil War Sampler quilt, taking into consideration historical facts, storytelling about quilting, women and the war, offering a different perspective on the civil war era.
